Arrr, matey: Somehow, "Ganda 'Left Eye' Suthivarakom" just doesn't have come off the tongue the same way the TLC singer's name did. Now you can wear a nonironic eye patch.
I was going to buy an eyepatch from duane reade when I got out, but I really only needed the cotton gauze patch for a few hours -- wearing a patch beyond that would have been duplicitous and "poser", as they say.
I did almost get hit by a cab last night, though; my peripheral is a little fuzzy. As a service to the drivers of nyc, I am staying off the streets for a little while longer.
Is this a "fix my eyes so I don't have to wear glasses" surgery or something more serious? Either way, get well soon.
Unfortunately, it was a "close the hole in my retina so I don't go blind" kind of surgery. but technology is amazing, the dr. just shot into my eye with 20-30 green laser flashes and it was over. My vision was blurry for a few hours and then went back to its regular level of blurriness. i'm just supposed to go back in a week and make sure the hole has closed up properly.
