Adam is banning me from A Hamburger Today for certain controversial remarks about slippery miniature hamburgers. On top of being snubbed on this article about food bloggers in the Times, I guess this amounts to me being some kind of tribal outcast or something.

But I got to sing on Carnegie Hall's historic stage on Saturday and I'm pretty much delirious with joy and totally teflon right now.

congrats on the carnegie hall performance. i was there and thought you sang beautifully. bonus, of course, was your dancing. wish we could've joined you, but the hall's tight seating put a real damper on the urge.

Thank you! It was the thrill of a lifetime.

I think singing at Carnegie Hall wins over most other things. :)

wow, very cool - learning more about you as I continue to read. What an honor to perform there. is this on youtube???

You're not really banned. I was kidding. I should have put a ;) after that editorial comment.

The "Here Lies Love" thing was great!

And I wouldn't feel bad about being left out of the Times piece. You don't seem to be as much about gossip and bleeding-edge restaurant hipness.

I know you're kidding, Adam! For the record, I am a diehard AHT and Slice fan. Electric fences couldn't keep me out.

i've been greatly enjoying your blog, and it was such a wonderful treat the other morning to go over to
my other favorite blog
and read raves about you (and your lovely voice!) and the carnegie hall show. congrats!

How exciting! Didn't see that!

Mainstream media opinion about blogging is really, really tiresome: a nod would've been nice, but it would be from people who ultimately see blogging as second-rate opinionating. Also, although I hold the same negative opinion about White Castle, why in hell have I been to Pop Burger three times now? Their burgers are way over-priced, and the Basquiat on the walls is really pretentious for a burger joint. Am I just a total snob? I guess the proximity to the Meat Packing district convinces me think it's worth it. Sorry, this doesn't really have bearing on anything. I regret missing Carnegie Hall--have heard nothing but stunning reviews.

DRAT! I pressed post and not preview and look like a fool!

Ganda,

Congrats on your wonderful performance @ Carnegie Hall (I was excited to find out that you had a part!). We went to the show and loved it. Great voice... and loved the color coordination, too.
