Ratatouille, Je T'aime

I think the last movie I saw in the theaters was King Kong, and I slept through 1 hour of it. I just don't like being trapped in a dark room with a bunch of people for 2 hours (or, in the case of that movie, 3 loud dinosaur- and penis creature-filled hours). But when La Doug suggested we go see Ratatouille, I lifted the embargo.

I'm not going to lie, I totally wept during the movie. Several times. (Shut up!) I might even go see it again. Also, I can't wait to go to Paris. If you have ever eaten food, or if you have had a father at some point in your life, go see it. The movie made me miss Julia Child, but it also made me so happy that we live in 2007. I'll shut up about it now.

I have two very good friends that work at Pixar and did a lot of work on this film. Glad to hear you liked it - I haven't seen it yet but this entry is the motivation I need!

Simon and I saw it on Saturday and loved it (Nathan Lane sat behind us and laughed very loud). The scenes of Paris were beauitful. We were both starving after and I made us a big pasta dinner. Was great.

OMG this movie so made me cry. Never knew I could feel so connected to a computer generated rat. Time to go back to Paris!

What a pleasant coincidence! I just wrote about this movie on my blog with the exact same title as yours, "Ratatouille, Je T'aime." Yes, I really do love this movie and want to go watch it again at the movies before it comes out on DVD.

I almost burst into tears at the scene when Ego has his first bite of Ratatouille and was reminded of his childhood.
