Finally, after a night of anxiety dreams and a super nervous day

Here's the moment that stayed with me, the moment I think most Americans will take away from the debate.

Joe Biden made it clear where he and Obama stand -- on the economy, on helping the middle class, and on the war.  He had statistics, he illustrated with human stories, he was able to laugh at himself.  But most of all, in this genuine, beautiful moment, he revealed his real, personal, emotional investment in the future of the country.  He not only showed Palin AND McCain to be the policy lightweights they are, he also proved what emotional lightweights they are, and how incapable they are of empathy.  With at least four winks and words like "doggone", Palin's act may be folksy, but I think people can smell the BS.

Biden was HUMAN.  I'm now a huge fan.

He was real, she was more fake than her own butt (Spanx, yah think?) But the most telling moment in the whole freak show was her denigrating his current wife (calling her a schoolteacher) while evoking his dead wife (by saying the lowly successor would get her reward in heaven). There's a word for women like that, and it is not mean girl. As her soulmate would utter it, it starts with a C.

She's the Chimp with tattooed lipstick.
