The Wednesday Chefs

Seven minutes left for the day!

Cliffs notes: Had dinner with the gorgeous and charming Luisa of The Wednesday Chef fame and my buddy Francis Lam.  I love the internets because it has allowed me to meet such lovely people.  Seriously.  Anyone who thinks the internet is killing socializing is doing something wrong.

Luisa made some kick ass pork meatballs, which I hope she'll write about for you.  Francis made his famous koshary and I contributed some French Mints from Li-Lac.  Queens on a weekday, totally worth it.

Sounds like a fun evening!! How was that koshary?

That koshary was DELICIOUS, but it sure looked like a lot of work.

Also, I should reveal that Francis has all kinds of cool-guy restaurant equipment in his kitchen, like those rectangular steel buckets.

And he rocks an ankle length waist apron, which I told him I don't see the point of -- why protect your pants but not your chest?

But he did loan me and Luisa a very cute Japanese housewife apron. I didn't ask why he had it. I just borrowed.

Ooooh, it was such a good evening. Good dinner, too! :) I'm so sad we just met and I'm leaving so soon. You are lovely. Seriously, come visit!

xoxo

You offer, I will come, my dear. I'll just have to chase you down when you are in New York again.

SO. JEALOUS.

When are you in New York?!! BLERG, when can we get to Seattle to eat ricotta salata?!!
